Challenge
Create a publication identity and magazine layout for a topic that educates and engages readers. How might the visual design and branding amplify the publication’s presence and clearly communicate the message or values behind publication advocates for?
Solution WEME Magazine is an independent platform spotlighting women in the male-dominated streetwear industry. It fosters honest conversation, educates readers about female-founded brands, and inspires creative empowerment: “If she can do it, I can do it too” and “The creative power is y(ours).”
The visual identity combines bold, expressive typography and a dynamic color palette to convey strength and energy. A flexible layout system supports both print and digital storytelling, while a clear visual hierarchy highlights featured creatives. Strategic illustrations bring each artist’s work and process to life, emphasizing their expertise and impact within the industry.
Featured Creatives Timeline
A timeline showcasing key milestones of featured creatives alongside the history of streetwear, highlighting their impact and contributions to the culture.
Illustrations seamlessly integrate with photography, amplifying each creative’s work, energy, and spirit within a dynamic layout.
