Designed a versatile visual graphic that can adapt seamlessly across conference materials, digital platforms, and merchandise. The People’s Economy Lab
Challenge
Create an illustration that visually represents People’s Economy Lab’s (PEL) mission and values—capturing the spirit of community-centered, sustainable, and equitable economies. How might we design a visual graphic that embodies PEL brand mission while remaining adaptable across print materials, digital platforms, and merchandise? Solution To visualize PEL’s mission, I designed a circular ecosystem illustration representing regenerative, community-centered economies. Each element highlights collaboration and collective growth: community leaders planning equitable economic models, a child learning about regenerative practices, and a farmers market symbolizing local economic support. The illustration embodies fair and inclusive systems that empower Black, Indigenous, and communities of color, while remaining flexible for print, digital, and merchandise applications.
Measure of Success
The circular illustration was embraced by the PEL team for authentically reflecting their mission and values. Its vibrant, diverse palette and versatile design allowed seamless use across print, digital, and merchandise, strengthening the brand’s presence and impact.
